The Northwest  is a Unique  & Wild  Ecosystem!
 Explore &  See the Wildlife  that  call
the    Great Bear Rainforest  and the Costal Mountains Home

 

Coastal Northern BC is Home to an abundance of Diverse Species and Sub Species.
Rich in Bio Diversity, 
Ranging from all 5 different species of Pacific Salmon (Chinook, Coho, Sockeye, Chum & Pink.)
Wild Steelhead, Sea run Trout and up to at least 70 other species and sub species of fresh water Fishing throughout BC.
Our Steelhead season in the Skeena Region can run throughout all 12 months of the year.
Peaking in Spring Months (March - May), Summer Run (July - September), and of course Winter Fishing (October - Feb).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Marine life such as Whales (Humpback, ORCAS, Minke), Porpoises, Harbour Seals, Northerm Sea Lions, Rivers otters and Much more that Occupy the Ocean. - As Well some of these call home to the Tidal Waters of the Skeena River, the Douglas Channel (Kitimat).

When Spring Emerges, the Start of Life begins at the Skeena River and other coastal rivers with the Eulachon Run  (Candle Fish).
This Run is know for all Wildlife viewing oppurtunites! a Great experience for Photographers!
Every Species that depends on Fish as a food source are found roaming the shorelines, Rivers and sky.
Birds of Prey, such as Eagles, Osprey, Ravens, and much more frequent the
skies and shorelines to try and get a taste of this oily, rich fish.

We have a Very Healthy & Thriving Population of Predator Species, especially Bears
throughout the Skeena Region.

Grizzly Bears (Ursus Arctos) -
Approximately around 15,000 - 20,000+ Grizzlies throughout BC.

Our Coastal Black bears (Ursus Americanus)
 population is one of the healthiest in the World. 

Approximately between, 120,000 - 150,000 Bears throughout the BC. 

As well Home to the Famous White Bear - Spirit/Kemode Bear - (Ursus Americanus Kermodei)


Other Predators such as Cougars (Puma concolor),
Wolves (Canis lupus columbianus),
Coyotes (Canis latrans),
Wolverine (Gulo gulo luscus) 
are thriving throught Northern BC 
Our Ungulates (Deer, Moose, Caribou, Elk, Mountain Goats, Horned Sheep)
Population thrive in a variety of Areas. Located on different terrains throughout the Northwest.
